Get your XBOX ready. Master Chief is ready to battle Gravemind with his newly designed MA5C. Adolescents and adults alike are waiting with baited breath to get their hands on this game when it arrives September 25th. Your challenge is to create an ad that rivals the Halo trilogy hype. Can you capture the attention of the salivating fanatics? Check out the contest

This is exactly what I have been waiting for! Too bad the deadline isn’t set to be before the actual launch of Halo 3 though. Anyway, you’ll have my submission when it comes time.

I have a question about this contest and these competitions in general. According to the FAQ prize money will only be awarded if the winning entry receives 500 or more votes. Does this refer only to the audience choice award, or to the critics award as well? Because based on the number of votes so far it seems unlikely that anything is going to get 500 votes.

We are working out details now to determine possible alternatives given that nobody has the required 500 votes. In the meantime, tell everyone you know to get over here and vote! And we’ll keep you posted…

Ah, good to hear. So is it safe to say that all winning entries will receive a prize? I ask this because I’m trying to decide whether or not to devote my upcoming weekends to finishing an entry in time. Thanks,

Definitely submit your video! Not only would we love to see it, but you still have a shot at winning, and it can help you get noticed regardless. Also, think about uploading your portfolio to our new portfolio page – that’ll get you even more “face time” as we start bringing agencies and brands into the fold.

Alright. Are we allowed to post our videos elsewhere as well? I’d like to upload a higher resolution version to my website if this isn’t against the rules.

For these first three contests, feel free to post your video anywhere you’d like. If you are having specific issues with resolution and your ability to upload a high res version of your video, please contact us directly at info@blackturtlemedia.com so we can address this.

Thanks. I’m not having any problems, I just wanted to check to see if I could post my film elsewhere, because the flash videos here are lower resolution than what I film. So if my film is animated and I’m using original music, I only need to submit the media clearance form with my entry, correct? Is there a file size limit on uploaded videos, and is there any use in uploading a version higher in resolution than the flash format displayed on this website?

There is a 20 meg maximum file size. Go ahead and load your video at any resolution you like. We recently upgraded the site, so our resolution is now fairly high and load time should have improved dramatically. Don’t hesitate to report any issues to us at info@blackturtlemedia.com or simply fill out the contact us form.

Thanks for answering. To upload our documents, should we just include these in a zip file with the video or is there a separate place to send them? What format should they be in?

Release forms can be uploaded with your video or after you have uploaded your video. They can be in any format – Word, pdf, etc – go ahead and zip the files if you feel they will be too large, but it is not necessary. Please contact us at info@blackturtlemedia.com if you have any questions.

Ok, I’ve submitted my film, but I don’t see where to upload my release form. Do I just upload it as I would a film?

I just uploaded my video for the halo contest and i was wondering which release forms i need, because i used clips of the gameplay that i videotaped, is that considered copyrighted since its their game, and also i used royalty free music. so should i fill out the media clearence form or the master use form?
